Wide-field view of NGC 1073 and its surroundings (ground-based image)

This image from a ground-based telescope shows the location of and region surrounding NGC 1073. Several other galaxies are also visible here, most obviously NGC 1055, seen side-on, and Messier 77, seen face-on, both near the bottom of the frame.
